The Longer Tale
In 2001, The Body Beautiful Pattern Design & Grading Specialist was established, offering freelance pattern making and pattern grading.
As time progressed there was an increasing demand for experienced manual pattern graders. I had conquered all three computer systems of the time and was approached to take a position as a national training manager. I declined as I was never entirely satisfied with the results produced by computer grading systems.
In early 2005, I began specialising in manual pattern grading, ranging from basic garments to intricate asymmetrical gowns and tailored jackets.
To date, I have not encountered a single pattern I could not grade as a result of my extensive background and experience in pattern making. Competency allows the individual ‘Hayley’ signature to shine through, meaning your garment, in each and every size, will fit better and stand out from the masses.
I am now highly regarded in the Melbourne fashion industry for my distinguished pattern making and pattern grading skills. Proudly, I have earned this reputation through perseverance, hard work and dedication.
